The Sweet Stuff of Dreams
Chapter 1. Once upon a time there was a world made of cotton candy. It was a magical place filled with sugar rushes and sticky adventures. The people of this world were made of cotton candy, too! They had fluffy heads, sugary skin, and wispy arms and legs that moved through the air like marshmallow clouds.
The king of this cotton candy land was an old man with a white beard who was always eating cotton candy. He would spend hours in his throne room, munching away on the sweet treat while he pondered the future of his kingdom. One day, he called all the citizens to the castle to announce an important announcement: he was going to build a giant cotton candy castle in the center of town. Everyone cheered!
The king said it would be big enough for everyone to fit inside and have fun for hours on end. He also said that anyone who wanted to help build the castle could come forward and join the construction crew. The citizens lined up in an orderly fashion and began working hard on constructing their new home. They worked day and night, using sticks and their own fluffy bodies as tools to stick pieces of cotton candy together until they formed walls, turrets, windows, stairs - everything they needed to make their dream come true!
Finally, after weeks of hard work, they finished building their giant cotton candy castle - it was even more beautiful than they had imagined! Everyone cheered with joy when they saw it complete. And so life went on happily in Cotton Candy Land - until one day when disaster struck!
A powerful wind blew through the kingdom, tearing apart their beloved castle bit by bit until it lay in ruins before them. The citizens were heartbroken - but then something miraculous happened: instead of fading away forever into oblivion like all other castles before it, this one reformed itself into tiny pieces which floated back up into the sky like little pieces of confetti! Everyone rejoiced at this happy ending - for no matter how much wind blew through Cotton Candy Land from then on out, nothing could ever tear apart their beloved home again!
