Love Defies Fate
Chapter 1. Lord Dionysus had an unyielding determination to marry his cousin, Princess Dove. But the two were separated by a powerful force of fate, as Dove was betrothed to another. Dionysus was undeterred and decided to take matters into his own hands. He sought out help from two of his most trusted confidants; Eddie, the court jester and Stella, the head of his Royal Guard.
Eddie proposed a plan that would fool fate; they would disguise Dionysus as a nobleman from a distant land and woo Dove in secret. They would have to be careful not to alert anyone of their true identities or intentions. The plan worked perfectly; Dove fell for Dionysus’ charms and the two began courting in secret.
But all good things must come to an end and soon enough their secret was discovered by the King. He was furious and declared that such behavior was treasonous and punishable by death! Dionysus knew he had no choice but to flee with Dove before it was too late.
With Eddie’s help, they were able to sneak away unnoticed in the middle of the night. Stella had also provided them with weapons so they could defend themselves if need be. They travelled far away until they reached another kingdom where no one knew their faces or pasts.
There they asked permission from the King to marry, which he granted without hesitation after hearing their story of courage and love conquering fate itself. The wedding ceremony was held days later with both families in attendance; Dionysus’ father had been able to track them down after hearing news of their daring escape from his own kingdom’s courtiers who had witnessed it firsthand! The newlyweds then returned home as heroes where both families rejoiced at their courageous victory over fate itself!
