Death by Bad Movies: The RedLetterMedia Tragedy
Chapter 1. Jay Bauman, Mike Stoklasa and Rich Evans of RedLetterMedia had a dream. To watch bad movies and review them for their loyal fans. How could any of them have known that their quest for entertainment would end in tragedy? It was a typical night at the RedLetterMedia studio.
Jay, Mike and Rich had gathered to watch yet another terrible film. But as they settled into their chairs, something felt off. The air was thick with tension and the trio could feel that something sinister was about to happen.
Just then, the lights went out and a figure stepped out from the shadows. It was an old man with a raspy voice who introduced himself as “The Critic”. The Critic proceeded to explain that he had come to take vengeance on those who dared to mock his beloved films.
With that, he produced a large knife and attacked Jay, Mike and Rich in a vicious frenzy. The trio fought back as best they could but they were no match for The Critic’s strength or skill. As their lifeblood spilled onto the floor, The Critic laughed maniacally before finally leaving the studio, never to be seen again.
When morning came, it became clear that Jay, Mike and Rich had all perished in the attack. It was an incredibly sad day for RedLetterMedia and its many fans around the world who mourned their loss deeply . But even in death these three friends never gave up hope for better films in the future—and that hope continues on today through those who continue to watch bad movies with respect and understanding, knowing full well what happened at RedLetterMedia studios all those years ago.
