A Prodigy's Journey
Chapter 1. The sun shone brightly through the window of the orphanage, highlighting the dust motes that danced in its beams. Inside, a young prodigy, no more than ten years old, sat alone in her room. Her name was Daisy and she had been living at the orphanage for some years now, ever since her parents had died in a tragic accident. It had been a difficult time for Daisy, having to adjust to life without her parents, but she was slowly coming to terms with her new life.
She was exceptionally intelligent and had already mastered several advanced subjects to a higher level than any other child at the orphanage. This made her stand out from the others and gave her an air of mystery that often caused the children to whisper behind her back. But Daisy was not concerned with what other people thought. She found solace in reading and studying and this kept her occupied most days.
Her greatest ambition was to one day attend university and prove herself as an intelligent person worthy of respect. One day, while attending a school lesson, Daisy received an unexpected surprise when someone knocked at the door of their classroom. A tall man entered and made his way towards Daisy's desk before introducing himself as Mr Smith - an educational consultant who had been sent by the government to assess Daisy's amazing academic abilities. Mr Smith explained that there were several universities interested in offering Daisy scholarships if he deemed her suitable for them.
After testing Daisy's knowledge in several different subject areas, it quickly became clear that she was indeed an exceptional student far beyond her years and Mr Smith offered her multiple scholarships on behalf of these universities. Daisy could hardly believe it; she could now finally fulfill her dream of attending university! She accepted all of the scholarships excitedly and thanked Mr Smith for his help before returning to her studies with renewed enthusiasm. The following weeks saw many changes for Daisy; she moved away from the orphanage into a new home provided by one of the universities which was closer to where she would be studying.
She also began attending classes at university which proved challenging but rewarding as she quickly excelled amongst even older students due to her natural intelligence and determination. At first it felt strange not having anyone around who knew about Daisy's past but soon enough she began making new friends who appreciated both her intelligence and kind personality which meant so much more than just being smart or bookish all the time - something that had previously held Daisy back from fully embracing life at university despite being academically successful there too. Daisy has now been living in this new home for some time now, surrounded by passionate peers who are willing to help each other succeed regardless of their background or social standing - something that has only fuelled Daisy's ambition further as she continues on this journey towards fulfilling all of those dreams which seemed so distant before yet can now be seen within reach if only she takes that final step forward...
