The Colorful Farmyard Menagerie
Chapter 1. Once upon a time, there was an old farmer who owned a large farm with many animals. One day, he decided to create a colorful menagerie of animals. So he began with a black cow and a white cow, then added a rooster, chicken, pig and sheep.
The farmer looked around at his colorful collection of animals and was pleased with his work. But then he noticed something strange—all the animals were standing in the same spot! So he called out to them: “What’s going on here?
Why aren’t you all moving around? ” The black cow spoke up first: “We don’t want to move because we are afraid that one of us will get lost in the shuffle! ” The white cow followed up: “Yeah, and then none of us will know what happened to our friends!
” The rooster cocked his head and said: “I think it would be better if we all stayed together so we can keep an eye on each other! ” The chicken nodded her head in agreement while the pig oinked his approval. Finally, the sheep bleated out: “Why don't we just form a circle so none of us get lost?!
”
And so the old farmer smiled as he watched his colorful menagerie form a circle around him. From that day onward, they all stayed together in perfect harmony—a reminder that friendship truly does make life more colorful.
