Chapter 1. A Dog’s Last Stroll One morning, a dog named Spot and his owner, Mrs. Johnson, decided to take a walk down the street. Spot had been Mrs. Johnson’s loyal companion for years and he always looked forward to their daily strolls.
They hadn’t gone far when suddenly they heard a loud honk! Spot jumped and looked up just in time to see a car speeding around the corner. He tried to jump out of the way, but it was too late. The car hit him and he fell to the ground in pain.
Mrs. Johnson ran over and scooped up her beloved pet. She carried him back home as quickly as she could and called the vet right away. The vet said that Spot had broken his leg in the accident, but he would be okay if she took good care of him for a few weeks.
Mrs. Johnson nursed Spot day and night until finally one morning he was able to stand on all four legs again! Everyone cheered with joy when they saw how happy he was to be able to move around freely again! From then on, Mrs.
Johnson made sure that they stayed on the sidewalk whenever they went out for their walks together, so that nothing like that would ever happen again! Spot enjoyed every minute of his strolls with Mrs. Johnson after that—it seemed like each day was even better than the last! And even though it was his last stroll before leaving this world forever—he knew it was also one of his best ones ever!
