Chapter 1. The night was cold and still, the stars glinting in the pitch-black sky like distant campfires in a barren landscape. The castle atop the hill loomed like a sentinel, its ramparts illuminated by the fiery light of torches. Within the walls, a battle was about to begin. Princess Eliza had been plotting her revenge for weeks.

Princess Eliza had been plotting her revenge for weeks.

Her brother had usurped her throne and seized power, leaving her to fend for herself in exile. But Eliza was no ordinary princess; she was determined to take back what he had stolen from her. Tonight she would challenge him to a duel—a sisterly duel that would decide who would rule the kingdom.

Eliza entered the throne room dressed in armor, her long brown hair spilling out from underneath her helmet. Her brother stood at the opposite end of the room, flanked by two of his strongest knights. He sneered as he saw his sister ready for battle and pointed his sword at her menacingly.

But Eliza was unafraid; she knew she could win this fight with skill and strategy alone. She drew her own sword and advanced slowly towards him until they were face-to-face, their blades clashing against each other in a flurry of sparks and steel. For what seemed like hours they fought on, neither one gaining an advantage over the other for quite some time until finally Eliza managed to break through his defenses with a well-timed thrust and send him sprawling onto his back on the floor.

She held her sword to his throat as he lay there defeated, ready to deliver the coup de grace that would end it all once and for all... But then something strange happened: instead of ending it there and then as expected, Eliza lowered her blade and stepped away from him instead, offering him one last chance to surrender peacefully instead of dying on this battlefield that night. Her brother took this offer gratefully—and so with that gesture of mercy, peace returned once more to their kingdom once again as Eliza took her rightful place on the throne as its rightful ruler.
