Under the Briney Sea: The Rise of Atlantis
Chapter 1. and the group of people who inhabited it. Once upon a time, in a world not too different from our own, there lived a group of people in the magnificent city of Atlantis. This was no ordinary city; it was a paradise beneath the sea that had been blessed with many great and powerful gifts. The Atlanteans were an advanced race, gifted with great knowledge and abilities far beyond those of any other people on earth.
One day, the gods decided that Atlantis should be destroyed by a great flood. The people were given seven days to prepare for their imminent demise. The Atlanteans used their gifts to create an amazing ark – one that could withstand even the mightiest of waves – and loaded it with all manner of creature and supplies necessary for their survival. On the seventh day, as promised, the floodwaters rose and began to consume Atlantis, washing away everything in its path.
The Atlanteans clung desperately to their ark as they watched their beloved city crumble beneath them. But they needn’t have worried, because when the waters receded, there was a new island in its place! This island was named “New Atlantis” and the Atlanteans went ashore to begin anew in this new land. Little did they know that their troubles were far from over!
For they soon discovered that New Atlantis was inhabited by an ancient race of creatures known as “The Merpeople” who lived deep within its depths! These Merpeople were powerful creatures with magical powers beyond comprehension! The Merpeople weren't too keen on the idea of having new neighbours move into their territory without asking permission first!
So they sent forth an army of giant sea monsters to drive away the Atlanteans from their island! But thanks to their knowledge and powers, the Atlanteans used cunning tactics to defeat these monsters one by one until finally they had driven them all away! And so New Atlantis became home to both its original inhabitants – The Merpeople - and also its newest residents - The Atlanteans - living peacefully side by side for centuries afterwards!
