The Chatty Claus-ier

Chapter 1. Once upon a time, there was a tiny, chatty squirrel named Sam who lived in Santa’s North Pole village. Sam was always chattering away, and he had become quite a nuisance! One day, Santa was in his workshop, busily preparing for Christmas. Suddenly, he heard a voice calling out from outside the window.

“Hello! Can you hear me?” it said. Santa was startled to discover that the voice belonged to Sam.

He had been listening to the elves talking about all their preparations for Christmas and wanted to find out what they were up to. Santa was so amused by Sam’s curiosity that he decided to make him his very own ‘Claus-ier’ - someone who could help him with his deliveries on Christmas Eve! Sam happily accepted the job and set off with Santa on his sleigh that very night. He was so excited about being able to help deliver presents all around the world, but soon realised that it wasn't going to be as easy as he thought!

With so many houses and chimneys to visit, Santa and Sam needed some help. Suddenly, an idea struck Sam - why not use birds as helpers? He quickly gathered up some of his feathered friends from around the village and soon they were soaring through the sky with Santa in tow. The birds helped carry presents down chimneys while Sam kept an eye out for any obstacles along their route.

By morning they had delivered all of Santa’s gifts and even had time for a quick snack before returning home! Sam returned to the village feeling very proud of himself – after all, he had helped make Christmas possible! From then on, he was known as The Chatty Claus-ier – a nickname that stuck with him forevermore.
