One day, Red Riding Hood’s grandmother became ill and had to be taken away for treatment. As she lay in bed, she told Red Riding Hood that when she returned home she would have a surprise for her. As soon as her grandmother left, Red Riding Hood went into the forest to look for her surprise. She walked deeper and deeper into the woods until she came to a clearing where a beautiful castle stood tall against the sky.

Red Riding Hood was amazed by the sight before her eyes and decided to explore further. As she neared the door of the castle, it opened by itself and an old woman appeared in front of her. The woman told Red Riding Hood that it was time for her to take over as Queen of the castle as well as all its lands and people. Red Riding Hood could hardly believe what was happening but accepted this new role with grace and dignity.

She knew that it was important for her to make sure that everyone in the kingdom was happy and contented. So every day, Red Riding Hood visited different parts of her kingdom on horseback or on foot to make sure that everyone had enough food, shelter, clothing, education and medical care they needed to live life happily ever after. Her subjects loved their new queen and praised her everywhere they went!
