Pete the Kind Little Piggy
Chapter 1. Once upon a time, there was a kind little piggy named Pete who lived on a farm. Pete was always friendly to everyone he met and always had a smile on his face. One day, Pete was out in the pasture with the other animals when he heard an unusual noise coming from the nearby woods. He decided to investigate and see what it was. When Pete arrived at the edge of the woods, he saw an old man in a tattered coat sitting by a campfire telling stories.
The old man looked sad, so Pete decided to stay and listen to the old man's stories. The old man told stories about faraway lands and magical creatures that made Pete's eyes widen with wonder. After listening for hours, Pete realized he had become very late getting back home and quickly said goodbye to the old man before running off into the night. When Pete arrived back at his farm, he noticed something strange: all of his animal friends were gone!
He immediately ran to tell his farmer what he had seen in the woods, but when he arrived at the house, no one answered his knocking. Pete thought long and hard about what could have happened to all of his animal friends and eventually realized that they must have been taken by the old man in the woods! He decided that he must go back into the woods and rescue them all before it was too late! Pete bravely ventured back into the dark forest but soon found himself lost and confused.
He stumbled upon a clearing where he saw all of his animal friends in cages scattered around a large fire pit. The old man was just about to throw them into the fire when suddenly, Pete leapt out from behind a tree! The old man was so shocked that he dropped all of the cages on the ground! While all of his animal friends ran away, Pete gave chase after him until finally cornering him near a lake.
The old man begged for mercy but instead of punishing him, Pete offered him kindness and friendship instead! The old man began to weep with joy over being shown such kindness after so much loneliness. Suddenly, from out of nowhere appeared hundreds of animals who all thanked Pete for rescuing them! They each promised to be lifelong friends with him as they returned home together – happy ever after!
