Monkey and the Lion King
Chapter 1. Once upon a time, there was a little monkey who wanted to cross the river. He had an important mission - he had to get to the other side of the river, but he had no way of getting there. The monkey looked around, hoping he would find a way across the river. But the only thing he saw was a big lion coming towards him.
The monkey was scared and started to shake with fear. But then something strange happened - the lion started talking to him! The lion said “I am the King of this jungle and I can help you cross the river if you want”.
The monkey was so relieved and grateful that he agreed right away. The lion offered to carry him on his back across the river. The monkey got on his back and off they went!
The water was cold but they made it safely across. When they arrived on the other side, the monkey thanked the lion for his help. He said “Thank you for helping me cross the river, I really appreciate it”.
The lion smiled and replied “It was my pleasure, now go and complete your mission”. The monkey was so happy – not only had he made it safely across the river but he also made a new friend in the process! From then on, whenever Monkey needed help crossing rivers or going on adventures, he knew who to call – King Lion!
