Daddy's Here!
Chapter 1. Daddy’s Here! Every day after school, Daddy was there waiting for his daughter at the bus stop. He always had a big smile on his face and a hug ready for her when she stepped off the bus.
His daughter smiled back and shouted, “Daddy’s here!” She ran over to him and jumped into his arms. She knew she was safe with her daddy by her side.
One day, when the bus pulled up to the stop, Daddy wasn’t there. His daughter looked around but he was nowhere to be seen. She waited and waited but he still didn’t come.
Her heart began to sink as she realized something must have happened to him. Suddenly, a car pulled up with Daddy in the driver’s seat! He had gotten a flat tire on his way to pick her up so he had to run home, grab the car and drive back as fast as he could.
He hadn’t wanted his daughter waiting alone at the bus stop for too long. His daughter ran over and hugged him tight, relieved that he was okay and that all was well again. As they drove home together, she looked over at her dad and said with a smile, “Daddy’s here!
